Marea, Restaurante

José Esteban and Maite Recatalá manage this establishment, more popularly known as Casa Churro, tucked in between the sea and the marshlands of Nules in Castellon. Although they are specialists in all types of rice dishes, more than 70% of the paellas that they prepare are traditional meat and vegetable paellas marked with the characteristic La Plana seal:  duck, pork ribs, artichokes, and “pèsol fi” (sweet tender peas). Their renowned success is evident from the crowds that visit their establishment. On any given Sunday, they prepare more than 100 paellas over wood fires for their faithful guests.
