In 1960, the Arnal family founded a picnic area near the “La Font de l’Or”, one of the most widely visited natural fountains for the quality of its water. Seven years later, this picnic area became a restaurant. From that moment on, their Valencian Paella cooked over firewood that includes locally harvested vegetables and water and rosemary from the Calderona mountainside, is the highlight of the menu. Among the twelve different rice dishes that they offer, their “Arròs a banda” (rice with fish stock) with the fish on the side, stands out because it is made according to tradition on the fishing boats.
